Many times people want to know "where did you come from?" and "what did you do there?"  So... here goes

My background is midwest rural.  I grew up on a dairy farm in "Hoosierland".  Having the responsibility of milking 60 cows twice a day gave me a great work ethic and a sense of responsibility.  Growing up on a farm has also contributed to my growing sense of concern for the safety and conservation of our environment.

Educationally, I graduated from Northeastern High School in Fountain City, IN.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Indianapolis with a dual major in English and French education.  In the late '90's, I earned a Masters of Education from Ball State University with a specialty in Educational Administration.  Most recently I have completed substantial study at Central Michigan University.

My husband and I live in Coldwater.  We have four children, all of whom have gotten married in the past 2 1/2 years!  They are scattered about:  Howell, MI; Louisville, KY, Durbin, WV; and Toronto, Canada.

I have 11 years teaching experience and 9 years experience as an administrator.  I have served as an assistant principal  in a jr/sr high school, a high school principal and a middle school principal.

I strive to lead a balanced life.  As a result I play piano, mountain dulcimer, am a selective movie fanatic, and am committed to becoming a global citizen who is committed to integrating my life with people from around the world.
